Atelier
Behind every work of the House lies a workshop — and a hand that has spent a lifetime giving faces their light. You are invited in.
Or & Kavod presents. Art & Star makes.
Every sculpture the House offers is born in a single workshop — Art & Star, the atelier of François. Here, a photograph becomes a face, aluminium becomes a likeness, and light becomes presence.
The House carries these works to the world. The atelier gives them their soul. What you are about to see is not a brand — it is a craft, built quietly over many years.
A self-taught hand
No school, no master — only an obsession with the human face and the patience to chase it in metal, year after year, until the likeness held.
The faces the world knows
In time, the atelier was asked to honor the icons of an era — athletes, artists, statesmen — and presented its work to figures and institutions across the world.
The people we love
And just as often, a quieter request: a father, a teacher, someone missed. The same devotion given to a champion, offered now to one family alone.
Into the light
Now this body of work reaches the world through Or & Kavod — the House built to reveal, honor and carry forward what the atelier has made.
The face
From a photograph, the true likeness is found — the expression that is the person.
The aluminium
Sculpted and brushed by hand, until the metal holds the face and catches light.
The light
An LED is given a life within the work — a glow made to last a lifetime.
The socle
Set upon solid, lacquered wood — the ground on which the presence stands.
François
A self-taught sculptor who has devoted his life to a single art: capturing the truth of a face in aluminium, and giving it light. His work has honored figures known the world over and travelled, just as often, to the intimacy of a family home.
He has presented his sculptures to FC Barcelona and met the players who inspired them. Yet he remains, by choice, quietly behind the work — for the atelier has always believed the light belongs to the person honored, not to the hand that made it.
